The inevitable happened over here… Harper came down with a cold two weeks ago, followed by TJ last week… and for some reason I thought I was in the clear, but Sunday evening it hit me and I’ve (we’ve) been laying low since. I’ll be picking up a medicine bomb from Starbucks tomorrow morning, but in the meantime I’ve been drinking apple cider vinegar, lemon, and honey water, along with elderberry syrup. Feeling lucky though that it was this week and not closer to Christmas…..
And with Christmas a week away, I’ve finally finished all my shopping (that’s what being stuck inside all day will do….) and am prepping for Christmas Eve hosting (although, I’ll be “hosting” it at my parent’s house this year since our house won’t be ready quite yet….). While I know what I’m wearing Christmas Eve, Christmas Day is a different story. So today I’m sharing with you one potential option. A dressy-casual, festive look.
I grabbed this beautiful burgundy blazer (BB Dakota has the best holiday pieces) and love the festive holiday touch it adds to an all black outfit. Paired with my favorite Spanx leggings (they have other great color options too, like these velvet leggings….) and a loose fitting velvet cami (without the bump, I would have front tucked it….), it ensures I look pulled together, holiday ready, and comfortable for all the delicious indulgences of the day ahead…..
And, something super exciting. If you like shopping on Amazon (I mean, where would I be without Amazon Prime two day shipping??) be sure to check out The Shop by Shopbop on Amazon. Now, you can shop the Shopbop site completely through Amazon, and if you’re a Prime member, two day shipping is free! Such a great bonus, especially during the crunch time of the holidays!
I’ll be sharing the second Christmas Day look, a much more casual option, on Thursday!
