We arrived home yesterday afternoon, and I immediately began thinking about Thanksgiving preparations. With my mom doing most of the big dishes, I bring along two tasty sides… and help with the desserts (we do apple + pumpkin over here). And while the huge feast is what most people look forward to, I secretly can’t wait for when the dishes are all done and it’s time to cozy up by the fireplace and watch “Christmas Vacation,” dessert + hot cocoa in hand, family around, and everyone in their comfies, + bundled up in blankets. While the bundling up in blankets didn’t happen last year (#90degrees), it most certainly will this year (with rain + chilly temps in the forecast… I’ve only been monitoring it daily for the last seven days….)… and I can’t wait.
Given that, I’ll likely be pulling out this super soft ribbed set + oversized cardigan (which basically pairs with anything in my closet) I picked up from Topshop for our trip to Park City. Since I knew we’d be doing a lot of lounging around, I decided that something cozy + warm would be perfect for those family movie nights… as well as post Thanksgiving dinner. With their wide selection of cozy knits + loungewear, at excellent price points, I knew that I’d find just what I was looking for. Plus, all of Topshop’s items are on trend, and have a wide selection of styles, so it’s easy to find pieces that seamlessly fit into my everyday, casual style….. and they offer free shipping + returns, making on-line shopping seamless. Of course, while I was looking, I found a few other loungewear items that I considered for this trip including this charcoal grey set, these light mauve waffle knit joggers + pullover combo, and this lounge ribbed romper….
Basically, even if I go the comfy route for Thanksgiving, I’ll be getting even comfier by 7pm, and this will be my go-to combo…. because pie + cozies are the perfect duo…..
