I’ve always loved the Christmas season. For so many reasons, but for one, it always gives so many fun opportunities to dress up and get festive… with everything from Christmas parties (work parties, get togethers with friends, etc…) to New Year’s Eve (and I have a birthday between the two) the opportunities to retire my favorite jeans and joggers for a weekend are endless. Not so much in 2020.
So, as I got to thinking last weekend, I decided that the 2020 holiday season would be “Comfy Glam” themed…. that I’d pick a piece or two and just make it comfortable, yet still slightly glam. From a fun date night at home, to a small gathering with my family, and a New York New Year’s celebration… just because we won’t be out and about doesn’t mean I (we) can’t all feel a little festive.
Enter this sequins duster cardigan (also here, here). I shared it several weeks ago, and I’ve dubbed it my “Glam” piece of 2020. It’s soft on the inside (so not itchy at all), flowy (read: not fitted, indulge comfortably), and the duster length sort of gives it a fancy robe-like feel. Toss it on with these festive faux fur slippers and you have the perfect “glam at home” holiday look….
