We arrived home yesterday afternoon, and since I’ve felt as if we’ve been playing catch up… grocery shopping, laundry, un-packing… all that fun stuff that makes you need a vacation all over again. At least the 4th of July is literally next week… which, if I’m being completely honest, makes me almost as excited as preparing for a getaway….

 For us, 4th of July has always been a festive occasion…. a morning parade, followed by an afternoon at the pool, and then an evening bbq with libations + fireworks…. concluded with late night s’mores making. And with all that typically comes festive attire. Red, white, blue, stars, and stripes… they’re all game… for pretty much that entire weekend (because I mean, it falls on a Wednesday this year… so might as well just consider Thursday and Friday “off days….”). So today I thought I’d share with you some of my favorite 4th of July attire…. in case you get all festive and excited just like we do!

I stumbled across this incredibly soft USA pullover on a recent trip to the mall and I was sold the moment I touched it. Wildfox always makes the softest pieces that you can easily wear out and about or lounging on the couch. A few of my favorite items of theirs include this red star pullover + matching shorts set (or you could wear the shorts with my favorite tie front tank in white), navy + stars zip-up hoodie, and this blush vintage American flag tank.

I also love this grey star tee (but it also comes in blue + white stripes)… would be super cute with the white shorts I’m wearing here. Some non-star items that would be great options include this red bodycon dress (I own it in two colors, fits like a dream), blue + white stripe shorts with my favorite bodysuit (in red or white colors), or this eyelet top (or this one) with this festive hair tie. I wore this red one shoulder top for Memorial Day and it was super fun….. oh, and this navy + white seersucker stripe top + bottom swim suit is adorable (and here is a super budget friendly option!)… and this red cover-up is perfect if you’ll be at the lake or beach (and such a great price…). This navy + white stripe pullover + this red flutter sleeve tank would both be super cute with these chambray shorts (all 40% off)….

For the little one in your life, I’m loving these little star shorts I snagged for Harper… or this blue + white gingham romper she owns…. this blue + white knotted tank  or this cute little polka dot dress…. and for the little guys this USA sweatshirt  + this stripe french terry shorts are super cute options!
