In the fury of packing, Thanksgiving morning, for our trip to the Central Coast, I somehow remembered that we would be taking Christmas pictures while away, hence another holiday dressing outfit. To be quiet honest, I literally threw whatever I thought might look good together in multiple bags and out we went. Come Sunday morning, I was left with several sweaters, a few tops, and more pairs of pants than I ever would have been able to wear in three days. Given that these pictures were going to be taken at the ranch we were staying at, I wanted the outfit to be festive and fun, but not over the top. I decided to play with textures and that’s how this holiday ensemble was born. A little fur, a little leather (both faux… one of the only times I am okay with that words…) and you have an outfit with dimension and festivity, without the disco ball fiasco that can happen all too often with holiday outfits! Oh, and it didn’t hurt that a rain storm was on the way, so naturally that called for two scarves instead of just one (hey, who knows how long it will stay cool… I had to take advantage of it!).
