Something I always procrastinate on during the holiday season are Christmas cards. I don’t know why, since we typically take our family photos at least a month before the season…. but I always find myself scrambling at the 11th hour to order, address, and actually mail the cards. Maybe it’s the laborious task of ensuring I have all the correct addresses… or actually addressing them. Either way, I promised myself that this year I’d be much more on top of things (as in, they’d be sent out before Christmas Eve) and I’d make the process of addressing, sealing, and putting stamps on them more fun.
Not wanting to break a promise to myself, I ordered my cards the day before Thanksgiving from Walmart. Their design options were endless, and the hardest part was narrowing down which one I wanted to settle on… and finally chose a minimalistic design that went with our snowy theme (some other favorites include this gold foil glitter design, snowflake border, and this gold cursive foil Merry Christmas option). Once I made the design selection, it was easy sailing from there. I was able to upgrade to card stock quality at a minimal charge and was guaranteed a speedy, and free, delivery. Oh, and I always opt for the return address printed on the back of the envelope (cuts down on extra work….). When they arrived I was thrilled with the final product, and couldn’t wait to turn on some Christmas tunes, whip up some homemade hot coco, and prepare those cards for all my friends and family….
