I’m not sure what I was really expecting from the first part of fall. This happens every year. The conversation goes something like this (not with myself, with others…):
Person 1: “I can’t believe how hot it has been lately”
Person 2: “Me neither. I can’t remember a time when it stayed this hot for this long.”
Person 1: “Oh wait, maybe last year. Yes, I think it was like this at the same time last year.”
Person 2: “You’re right. It wasn’t until the middle of October that we started to have any relief.”
So, I guess I will cut October and fall a little slack, but only for two more weeks.
This past weekend when we headed up the coast I desperately wanted to wear all my fall clothes. Despite my desperation, the weather didn’t cooperate. No, it actually was deemed another “heat wave weekend,” for Southern California. So, what’s a girl to do? Roll with it.
{To transition this first look to fall I would simply toss on a pair of distressed skinny jeans OR keep the shorts and layer a chunky sweater over the white boyfriend blouse. Toss on a fun fedora and you’re good to go!}
{Fall tips for outfit 2: Maybe a black leather jacket OR a thin sweater layered with a denim jacket. I’d keep the shoes, I think they’re pretty great :)}
