Grilled Peaches

Ever since I was a child peaches have not only been my favorite fruit, but my favorite food. Period. I love anything peach: peaches and cream, peach cobbler, peach ice cream, etc. Another love of mine that I’ve definitely written about before: BBQing. So what happens when you combine the two? You get a deliciously sweet, fruity summertime dessert! They are easy, quick, and healthy (though you’d never know it!) We made these grilled peaches on the 4th of July and I had no choice but to go back for seconds!

Start with how ever many peaches you’d like to grill. Serving size is half a peach. They should be ripe, but not mushy!

Begin by slicing the peaches in half and removing the pits.

To add an extra kick of sweetness, we sprinkled some Vanilla Bean Sugar seasoning from Savory Spice Shop. You can add all sorts of things though-brown sugar, cinnamon, regular sugar…get creative!

Finally, place the peaches face down on the grill over low-medium heat for about 2 minutes, or until you get some nice grill marks on the peaches, but still retain that delicious juiciness. Then flip the peach over and cook for another two minutes. It’s that easy!

Ta da! We added some homemade vanilla bean ice cream on top to complement the warm peach perfectly! Some other yummy additions could be honey, agave nectar, or maple syrup. This is my favorite dessert for that summertime BBQ, and it’s so easy your guests will never know it only took about 5 minutes! Bon Appetit!
