I’m so excited to share with you all the photos from the shower tomorrow, but in the meantime, I’ll share one of the most important pieces of any party: the ensemble. When Allison and I were talking about the shower in the summer, I initially said that I wanted a fitted Missoni-esq dress (yes… what I was going to wear was almost as important as the food we would be having :)). Yet, when I came across this dress I couldn’t take my mind off of it. From the deep navy, burgundy, and purples, to the peplum skirt, I thought it was simply fitting for a fall baby shower. I’ve always believed in dressing to my body, and being pregnant has definitely presented some challenges…. so I opted for the gold belt to add a more fitted feel to the naturally billowy nature of the dress. It was a piece in which I felt comfortable and beautiful, which in my book is always a winning combination.
