Confession: If you look closely enough at this photo you will notice the slight (well maybe not so slight) indentations of my work out pants on my legs. Oops. I love juxtapositions. And, to me, this entire outfit is filled with them. The feminine nature of the floral crop and flirty white skirt, with the more masculine structure of the utility jacket and chain strap. The dainty gold bar layered with the bold statement of California. The imprint of work out pants and the “I’m ready for a fun night out” outfit. The tan lines from my lululemon power Y tank and the strapless, sweetheart neckline. Juxtaposition creates balance. It demonstrates that perfection really isn’t possible, and maybe that perfection isn’t desirable. This is me. I work out, and I like to get dolled up. I love feminine pieces, but I also enjoy a few structured items here and there. Now, don’t get me wrong, I don’t think it looks perfect, but if I always wanted perfect I may be slightly more neurotic than I already am. So, this will have to do :)!
