Happy Friday friends! We made it to yet another weekend…. and a super bowl weekend at that. No major plans over here, since it’s supposed to rain all weekend… and I do know that most of the country is freezing… so maybe it’s a hibernate inside all weekend for everyone. Whatever you choose to do, I hope it’s a good disconnect from the work week….
Sharing my favorite products from the month of January. It’s not as extensive as usual, mainly because I always see January as this odd transition month. Not much is new in stores… food wise, beauty wise, and clothing wise… but what I am sharing, I’m super excited about and think you’ll love as well…..

FOOD:
Primal Kitchen BBQ Sauce: (Golden BBQ Sauce) I bought this on a whim last weekend, and it’s already made an appearance in three different meals. It’s organic, unsweetened, and full of so much flavor. I often find BBQ to be too overpowering, but this is the perfect flavor… and everyone in the family was obsessed with it. I’ll be buying this one again and again.
Trader Joe’s ABC + K Salad: My girlfriend introduced me to this salad and I’m obsessed. I mix it with a Primal Kitchen honey mustard dressing… but either way, it’s such an easy salad mix. We often have it as a side with salmon… but you can toss any protein into it… and I love that it’s loaded with pure goodness. A salad you’ll feel great eating!
BEAUTY:
Highlighter Palette: I’ve been on the hunt for an easy to use everyday highlighting palette for a while… and one that actually shows up on my skin… and this one did the trick. I’ve been using it daily for several weeks now and have been so happy with the subtle glow it gives my skin… even in the middle of winter… when skin can look sunken and dull.
Nude Lipstick (shade: ): Always in the market for a new nude lip shade and this one is my new favorite (in conjunction with this lipgloss). It’s not as nude as some of my other shades, put adds the perfect hint of color to my lips. Fun fact: I used to put concealer on my lips and nothing else… I mean, I must have looked like a walking ghost….. needless to say, nudes are my answer.
TULA Brightening Eye Balm: (featured above) I don’t think I’ve met a TULA product I haven’t seen results with… and even when I think I’m not really benefiting from a product, when I stop using it, I can tell a noticeable difference in my skin. This new brightening balm (which sold out in a matter of two weeks… will be available again in March….) isn’t an exception. I use it under my regular eye cream (which I use predominately for moisture) and then place my make-up on over it… and then use it throughout the day as a little refresher… and I can only imagine how much I’ll be using it when our little one arrives! (as always, code SHANNON for 20% off site wide).
FASHION:
Nude Liner Socks: My mom put these in my stocking for Christmas (since I was borrowing all of hers) and they’re amazing. Not too thick, not too thin, and they have an adhesive on the heel that helps them to stay in put. I never have to reach down to pull these up, and it’s absolutely glorious. They also come in black.
Boucle Knit Hoodie: I purchased this pullover when it was 50% off and I’m obsessed. It’s such an easy pieces to wearing with leggings, jeans, or joggers… and the boucle tweed elevates it from an everyday basic sweatshirt… which I always appreciate. If you’re pregnant I recommend sizing up one to cover the bump, otherwise go with your regular size and give it a nice front tuck!
Lace Tunic Top: When I saw the weather forecast for last weekend (a week in advance) I snagged this top because I knew it would be perfect for the spring-like weather. It has beautiful lace detailing, and will easily transition throughout spring + summer…. cut-offs + a straw hat in the peak of heat… and lightwash jeans and casual slides during the spring….
White Mules: (pictured above) The perfect Gucci look alike… and they’re extremely comfortable and easy to wear all day long (trust me, I do it all the time). I love that they can dress up joggers + a pullover… and are the perfect compliment to jeans + a top. I probably wear them at least 3 days a week. They run TTS.
Free People Thermal Henley: (more sizes + colors) (pictured above) Such a great transitional pieces to have in your closet… and the wood button details elevate it over the basic henleys you see everywhere. You can front knot it, front tuck it, wear it out freely (like I am….)… and it easily layers under a coat + cardigan. It runs large, so I recommend either sizing down or sticking with your regular size (for reference I’m wearing my regular Free People size here).
Topshop White Jeans: (pictured above) I haven’t bought a new pair of white jeans in a couple of years… mainly because I feel as if they are hard to find. Sometimes they’re too thin and show too much… and other times they just don’t look right on my body. Yet, surprisingly, I find this season’s pair while I’m pregnant. They’re a nice thickness (read: not see through) and have the perfect amount of stretch (a must for me with white jeans….). I did size up two sizes since I’m currently pregnant (and I’m wearing a bellaband with them….)… but when I’m buying white jeans I typically always size up at least one. My motto is that I’d rather have white skinnies be a little looser than too tight (then they just look like sausage casings….).
Ribbed Midi Skirt: A great classic for off duty or work purposes (fully styled here)… super comfortable and easy to dress down and up. If I wasn’t pregnant I would for sure wear this with a front knotted tee on the weekends… but pregnant it easily works by wearing it just slightly over the bump with a front tucked top. It comes in several color options, and the price is great for something you can easily transition from work to weekend.
Jockey Lounge Pants: The same retro style as the bralettes I love (mentioned below), these joggers are silky soft, and perfect for lounging and sleeping. I’ve had them for a couple of weeks now and hate when I have to wake up in the morning and take them off! I own them in the grey, but they come in two other colors as well.
Jockey Retro Bralette: I’ve mentioned these bralettes before, but I recently received a new retro printed one and it simply reaffirmed my love for them. They fit so well + are so comfortable… I wear them under tees, sweatshirts, and on long family walks. I wear a S and the fit is great.
Anine Bing Sweatshirt: More of a splurge pieces, but I literally wear it several times a week, so my cost per wear has likely already paid off. It’s a great non-band alternative to an edgy graphic print sweatshirt. I wear it out and about… as well as lounging around the house. Makes me feel cooler than I really am. (wearing a large to cover the bump).
Star Necklace: This little star charm necklace is a perfect everyday piece to wear solo or layer it with other necklaces. I love that it has an adjustable chain so you can wear it longer or shorter depending on the other necklaces you are wearing. I wear it daily with this necklace.
