Family Photos || Beachy Vibes

Last Wednesday we headed down to the beach for a somewhat impromptu evening. We figured that since the weather was so nice, and our days of spontaneity were dwindling (well, for a little while at least), we might as well take advantage of some tacos, sand in our toes, and quality time….. and opted to take some family photos while we were there. Since we first announced our pregnancy six months ago with photos on the beach in Hawaii, we thought that it would only be fitting to take some of our last photos as a family of three on the sand too…..

I’d had the idea for several weeks, I just didn’t know when we would take them. So when the idea to head down to the beach came up in the morning, I figured it was a good time to snap a few pics. I’d had this slip-dress for a few weeks, and was waiting for Easter to wear it, but decided it would be perfect for some family photos… and opted to front knot my favorite open knit sweater over the bump since wearing knits at the beach is pretty much my favorite thing…..

We had just gone to Nordstrom the previous weekend and picked up a bunch of spring clothing for TJ (they’re selection is always his favorite), so he had ample, on trend, options to choose from. He chose to wear these new white shorts (which come in various color options) + this casual knit pullover (my obsession with knits is wearing off on him….)… and brought along his favorite sandals (he buys a new pair every spring/summer season)…. for the evening. A few other on trend pieces that he snagged while we were shopping include a new color of his favorite polo shirt, super soft v-neck tee, henley from his go-to brand, casual stripe shirt that can easily be worn with jeans or shorts, work shirt, and these casual sneakers. Needless to say, he’s ready for spring from head to toe….

And the end result of a spontaneous decision, men’s shopping trip, and a to go order of tacos, chips, + guac? These photos that I will forever cherish of our little family!
