So, remember when I said that light and airy “whites” needed to be packed away for fall? And remember when I said that I would likely break this rule? Well, it didn’t take long now did it? I was torn. I really wanted to wear this beautiful mosaic print skirt with a navy or oatmeal colored sweater, but this white little number pulled ahead. I guess it’s because, internally, “light and airy,” was exactly how I was feeling. I’ve been having many conversations with friends and family, as of late, and they have all been revolving around “congruency.” You know, when the outside matches the inside. When what you say matches what you do. When you feel balanced because you are living based on your beliefs and what you stand for. And while I can manage to loosely tie this deeper concept to this outfit (“I felt light and airy, therefore, the look is light and airy”… did I succeed?), I guess it’s just a small reminder of the importance of being you. I think the most beautiful people embody this quality because true genuineness brings about confidence, and truly confident people naturally exude beauty.
