Fall Essentials Styled || The Black Trench Coat, 6 Ways

I shared my top 16 wardrobe essentials for fall last week in the middle of our fall heat wave… and it’s as if the weather was listening, and sprinkled us with some mild temps this week (let’s not get too excited, we’re still sitting at 75/77… but an entire 20 degrees cooler…). And we’re heading to Park City at the end of the week, so we’re in for at least a week of nice, mild, temps….

But back to my fall wardrobe essentials list I compiled last week. In this list, I included this versatile drapey black trench coat as an excellent, lightweight, option for this fall season. I love that you can pair it with leggings and a lightweight top or jeans and a sweater for a casual daytime option… or toss it on over slacks and a blouse for a business casual office setting. It hangs nicely on the body, and will work as a closet staple for years to come…

As is the case with all of my pieces from Everlane (including this trench). Aside from being sustainable, they’re also made in ethical factories, with transparent pricing (they cut out the traditional retail mark-up). I’ve been a fan of the brand for years and share them here often.

And today I’m taking one of their newer items, the drapey black trench coat, and styling it 6 different ways for this fall season. Whether you want to layer it over this cozy half zip sweater (also included in the fall roundup), or only need it for mornings as a lightweight top layer over this washable silk henley (like those of us in Southern California) it’s sure to keep you looking stylish, and feeling warm.
