Everyday Style || Summer Jewelry Favorites

My jewelry preferences have changed a bit over the past decade or so… I used to only wear silver, now my preference is for gold. I used to opt for more statement making pieces in my mid 20’s, and now I reach for pieces that are (for the most part) subtle and able to be mixed together to make a statement. Yet, over the past five or so years, my jewelry preferences have remained fairly consistent… dainty, layered, gold, and versatile…

That being said, when I’m looking to add a new piece to my collection I apply the same rules that I do to clothing items. I ask myself, “How does this piece fit in with others I own,” “Can I mix it with other jewelry items, or is it more of a one piece item?”, “How often would I be able to wear this item?” Based on my answers, I make a decision as to whether or not to purchase it….

I do feel as if jewelry is a simple (and easy) way to dress an outfit up or down, and to create versatility within my wardrobe. Today I put together the jewelry pieces I am currently wearing on repeat. Some I’ve already shared in past posts and other pieces are newer. And that’s the beauty of timeless pieces… while I might not wear them for a little while, they inevitably come back into rotation.

SUMMER JEWELRY I’M LOVING

CHAINS: I love the texture a chain adds to my otherwise “dainty” pieces. Over that past several months a few have been on regular rotation. The Gorjana Parker Necklace (double wrap here) is a great option because you can easily make it as long, or as short, as you want it to be… which makes it an excellent choice to layer in with other favorites. The Shashi Maui necklace (also here) is one of my daily favorites as well. It’s a nice weight (not flimsy), lays flat, and looks beautiful when layered. One downfall is that it only has one length, but other than that it’s beautiful. I also own the Brooklyn Necklace from Miranda Frye (SHANNON for 10% off)… it’s heavier + thicker, but I love the statement it makes (for sure more of a statement pieces).

As far as chains for bracelets goes, this twisted gold chain from Missoma easily layers in with all of my other favorites. I also still love the Jenny Bird Walter link bracelet I purchased about a year ago.

PERSONALIZED: I have a few personalized jewelry pieces that I never take off. I received this Lola + James necklace with the girl’s names and wear it daily (I haven’t removed it since last July). It’s so dainty and effortlessly layers with all my favorites. It’s durable as well… it’s withstood countless tugs from Camille where I thought it was for sure going to snap….

I also love these 14k gold filled beaded name bracelets from Truebird & Co (small business). I’ve had mine since December… well made and a fun addition to my everyday pieces. They will also hold up nicely for our beach days. My other personalized cuff is from Jennifer Fisher.

DAINTY: I regularly wear, and rarely remove, the London bracelet + necklace from Miranda Frye…. they’re both dainty, yet at the same time make a subtle statement (SHANNON for 10% off).

I’ve also been wearing this herringbone gold necklace for the past several months… it sold out a few weeks ago but this is an identical option. The herringbone pattern gives off a subtle texture, which makes it great for layering with other items.

And this Missoma cross necklace is a recent purchase. It’s a longer chain, but I love the texture in the cross.

I also have been a huge fan of dainty anklets… this Amalfi one has the prettiest blush beads and looks beautiful in the sun….

I recently discovered the line BYCHARI. Everything is beautiful- dainty + gold. This dainty letter necklace is beautiful.

EARRINGS: While I typically keep my earrings the same for months on end, I did make two purchases over the past month or so and love both. These tubular hoop earrings are the perfect size… not a large hoop that’s overpowering, or so small you can’t see it, but just right so to make a subtle statement. And I also love these dainty cross earrings, they match the necklace that I have as well… likely won’t wear them together… but they work with other items as well.
