Everyday Style || My Go-To Sneakers Styled Across Seasons

For some reason new sneakers always remind me of the start of a new school year. Maybe it’s because I always picked out new shoes for school, and couldn’t wait to wear them on the first day… but whatever the reason, I subconsciously decided to chat about my go-to sneakers today… the eve before the first day of school….

When purchasing sneakers, I tend to keep things in the neutral category (no surprise there) to maintain their versatility… but I also want a shoe that’s comfortable enough for all day wear… whether that’s to a coffee shop to work, going from soccer field to lunch on the weekends, or walking 30,000+ steps on a site-seeing vacation…. no one has time for uncomfortable shoes… so the ones I’m sharing below all pass the comfort test… and I plan on wearing them now, and in the upcoming season…

I also ordered this pair of Veja Venturi trainer sneakers. They arrived one size too big (I’m a 6.5 and needed the 36… as I do with all Vejas so not sure why I ordered a size up….) , but from what I could tell, they were very comfortable… I’ll have more styling posts up for them later…

Other than that, sharing three pairs of sneakers I highly recommend, for all seasons, along with several different styling options below…

And with that, I hope you have a wonderful day!

NEW BALANCE 327 SNEAKERS

The New Balance 327 sneakers are a newer style I added in this summer season. I was never very fond of the other NB shoe shapes, but what I appreciate about the NB 327 sneakers is that they feel more streamlined and elongated, and because of that, they just might be my most versatile sneaker in my closet. I bought a white/ivory pair for our trip to Italy (I can’t even link the exact style but sharing a very similar option here, and another pretty colorway here), and then I added this light blue/border grey accented pair when I got home for the upcoming season. Not only are they sleek and stylish, they are so versatile. You can easily pair them with dresses (I think they are the shoe in my closet that looks best with dresses), trousers, jeans, joggers, leggings, shorts, and anything in between (did I miss one??). They’re also supremely comfortable and feel as if you’re walking on clouds. I 10/10 recommend them…

VEJA RECIFE SNEAKERS

I’ve had the velcro Veja Recife sneaker going on 3 seasons now and I still love them. Different than a traditional lace up sneaker, and comfortable enough for walking long distances (although the NB 327 takes the cake in distance walking…), they’re a great neutral sneaker (styled them 13 ways here). I do think they look best with jeans, joggers, leggings, and shorts, as they’re not as streamlined as the NB 327 pair, but they still are a chic shoe to pull for when you want a casually elevated look for a dress.

SÉZANE SAMA SNEAKERS

The sézane sama sneakers are probably my most unique, neutral, sneaker and they’re beautiful… plus incredibly comfortable (I rank them equal in comfort to the NB 327). They’re a suede and tweed combo, which makes them an easy sneaker to dress up. I was recently asked if I thought they would make a good “business casual” sneaker and my answer was unequivocally “yes.” The mixed textures makes them absolutely perfect for this… even though I don’t have them styled for this. Other than that they’re excellent with jeans, leggings, joggers, and shorts!
