We stayed over at my parent’s house for a night this past weekend, and whenever we stay anywhere, I make a list and check it twice. You see, I find that whenever I’ve forgotten something, I don’t realize it until it’s absolutely necessary for me to use the item… and by that point, going out to replace it doesn’t help much. So, last weekend was no different than any other trip we’ve taken. I made my list, even packed up a few things the night before…. and in the morning completed it all… checking everything off the list. It was smooth sailing until Monday evening when it came time to take these photos….. turned the camera on and the dreaded “No Memory Card” flashed. Odd. That was one of those “checked it off the list” items. I frantically searched through my overnight bag… and then the two others I had brought along as well… nothing. This typically wouldn’t pose as much as a problem as it did, but knowing the following weeknights were not going to enable us to take photos in time made it slightly more imperative. So, I reluctantly did what we all have to do when life throws us a curve ball (and yes, I acknowledge that in the grand scheme of things, this is a very mild one….)… we rolled with it….

Thanks to my phone incident in the pool last weekend, I had the best camera phone you could ask for in this situation (see, I guess last weekend’s pool accident did happen for a reason…). We improvised and are bringing you a blog post full of iPhone X photos. Moral of the story? Life happens and sometimes things just don’t have to be perfect all the time…. something I’m constantly working to accept…. Annnnd, that pink hues are perfect for summertime…..

Mixing and matching pieces in my closet for a super casual summertime look in one of my favorite color schemes.
