Happy Friday friends! We made it. Not sure why, but this week felt particularly long…. so, I’m looking forward to the weekend ahead… a little spin class, dying Easter eggs with little miss, and celebrating Easter on Sunday with family….. Hope you all have a wonderful weekend as well!….
Recently I’ve been receiving a lot of questions about styling my shorter hair, and if I’ve done anything differently since cutting it… I have, and so I decided to put together this quick hair tutorial for you today. Not sure why the middle section gets a little blurry, so apologies in advance. I also wanted to go ahead and share the products that I use as well, since I think they’ve helped my hair immensely with regards to health, smoothness, shine, and softness…
1. Schwarzkopf Purple Shampoo: My hair naturally gravitates toward the gold tones, which I’m not a huge fan of. Enter purple shampoo. I can notice a difference in the tones when I wash my hair with it, so I use it every time. I follow it up with a second wash with regular shampoo.
2. ENJOY Luxury Shampoo: I follow up the purple shampoo with the this one. I love the smell and how easily it lathers, and cleans, my hair. My hair literally feels cleaner in the shower.
3. ENJOY Conditioning Mask: This conditioning mask is amazing. My hairdresser uses it, which was why I switched over and gave it a try. It intensely moisturizes, and smooths, my hair which is prone to dryness with the coloring treatments. It’s sulfate free as well. I leave it in for about 5-7 minutes to ensure it really absorbs into my hair…. and when I can, I’ll leave it in overnight to give my hair a really good treatment. When I rinse it out my hair feels incredibly silky.
4. Oi Oil: Another product my hairdresser encouraged me to use to fight frizz, add shine + softness to my hair. I apply 3-4 pumps before I dry my hair and then 1-2 after I am finished styling. I love the smoothness it adds to my post-styled curls.
5. Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray: I use this spray on the days after the initial wash. I love the tousled texture it adds to my hair when it needs a little pick me up after a work-out.
6. T3 Curling Iron: I’ve used all the wands on this interchangeable tool and gravitate towards the 1 inch and 1.5 inch iron/wand. Excellent quality, and the heat ensure my style stays.
7. T3 Straightening Iron: This is one of my favorite t3 products. It’s super compact so travels easily, and the smaller size allows me to get close to my roots without burning myself.
