Allison and I were chatting this past weekend about a few summer activities we still want to partake in, when we almost simultaneously said, “Bonfire.” There is something so quintessentially summer about a bonfire. Showing up at dusk, packing the marshmallows and graham crackers for s’mores, bundling up in hooded sweatshirts, and listening to mellow music and the cackle of the fire. It’s a vivid memory I have from my high school and college summers, and even from family reunions. That’s the great thing about it… it’s essentially an ageless activity.

With every summer activity comes an opportunity for finding that perfect ensemble. I love this dress for the sheer versatility factor. Dressed up with booties for a simple and casual date night, and dressed down with sandals and a knit sweater for that perfect beach bonfire… and as my belly begins to grow that versatility factor is essential! And honestly, who can say no to a perfect shift dress?! I didn’t think so 🙂
