I have a rule when I travel, which isn’t really a rule, but more of an indulgence. I like to pick up a small (sometimes not so small), special something that I can take home with me that when I look at it, it will trigger all the positive memories of my trip. It’s something my grandmother taught me (we spent two weeks in Europe together and she taught me all of her small indulgences…). You see, she has phenomenal jewelry. Rare and interesting pieces. I used to always ask her “Where did you get that piece from?” and she would inevitably have an interesting story, about some country she had visited, and how she came to purchase that piece. So while I didn’t necessarily pick up any phenomenal jewelry on my most recent trip to Hawaii, I chose this beautiful embellished linen top. It’s not a rarity of Hawaii, but when I wore it out the other day, it reminded me of the fun I had that night (if you follow us on Instagram, you know that I wore this with a white, fluted skirt)!
