TJ arrived home yesterday afternoon, and I can’t express how happy I was to have my partner in crime for parenting home… it’s amazing how much you realize the magnitude of how much someone helps once they are gone. That being said, we seamlessly fell back into our evening routines and I’m craving a date night, just the two of us…. and that’s just what we have planned for this coming Saturday day + evening. Our plans are far from finalized, but I know a few things for sure already: there will be good food, a little vino, and I know the weather will be mild so I’m planning my outfit accordingly.

I like to use the same rules for everyday dressing as I do for date nights, just slightly elevated. I still make comfort and versatility a priority, so when I saw these amazing pants I knew they’d be perfect for a spring + summer date night and casual day. They look super cute with a front knotted basic v-neck tee, and very laid back with this slouchy pullover (this is my new favorite!). I’m obsessed with the wide legged trend (so many adorable options here) for the very reason that they are both daytime + evening appropriate… wear to work, wear for a casual day out, or wear to happy hour with friends + a date night with your significant other. They’re east to toss on, and oh so comfortable (read: they allow you to indulge with comfort….)…..

BB Dakota also has some of the cutest spring/summer arrivals right now and I couldn’t help but snag the matching top to these bottoms (will wear with jeans + cut-offs) as well as this adorable summer bomber jacket…. both would be perfect date night pieces too.

So…. as we head into the end of the week, I can’t help but get a little giddy for date night… now all we have to do is figure out what we’re going to do!
