On Tuesday, I had a fun time shooting some Thanksgiving content with the ladies from Beek, but the real adventure started on Monday afternoon when I went digging for my favorite oversized fall sweater. You know the one—the cozy sweater we all have that goes with literally everything. Sadly, it’s no longer available, but I had to wear it (and find it…).
The problem? My sweater collection looked like a tornado had blown through my closet. I was tossing cardigans, chunky knits, and pullovers left and right in search of that one sweater. After way too long, I finally found it tucked away in the one spot I didn’t think to look. Of course.
Since everything was already in chaos, I took the opportunity to give my sweater shelf a much-needed refresh. I organized, folded, and put all my fall sweater favorites front and center—perfect timing for the season. Now I can easily grab my go-to oversized knits, chunky turtlenecks, and cozy crewnecks without the usual Monday-morning scavenger hunt.
There’s something about fall sweaters that just makes this season feel so cozy. The textures, the oversized fits, the deep autumn tones—it’s like wrapping yourself up in comfort and style at the same time. Whether you’re dressing up for something special, or just lounging with a cup of tea, having your favorite sweaters at arm’s reach makes life so much simpler.
So while the Thanksgiving content shoot turned out beautifully, the real win was walking away with a closet full of neatly stacked sweaters, ready to get me through the rest of fall (and into winter) in style.
And with that, I hope everyone has a wonderful few days ahead. We’re heading out of town to celebrate TJ’s birthday, so I’ll be back the week of the 13th with October’s capsule.
Have a good one!

THE STRUCTURED CARDIGAN
One of my favorite cardigans, that I purchased last January (so not technically fall… but the weather was cold) was this structured cardigan. It’s sort of the best of both worlds. It has a soft and plush feeling to it, providing comfort, but has the structure akin to a blazer, making it über chic. It comes in so many beautiful colors, runs true to size, and I can’t recommend it more for the fall and winter season ahead.
THE EASY V-NECK
A v-neck sweater is a go-to for the fall season… it’s easy to throw on over a t-shirt, wear it solo for a laid back look, and layer it underneath a heavier top layer. I love the one above, the Flynn from Jenni Kayne, because the material is lightweight and soft, making it a great layering staple… but I also own this one from Quince… it’s much thicker and more oversized in fit. A few other similar options include this one and this one.
THE BOYFRIEND COCOON CARDIGAN
I’ve been a fan of the oversized boyfriend cardigan for over five years now, and I think I have one in black, oatmeal, grey, and this beautiful chocolate brown color. I have a couple from Jenni Kayne and this chocolate brown one from Quince. They’re 98% identical, with Jenni Kayne running just slightly thicker and slouchier, but not by much.
THE TURTLENECK SWEATER
This sweater feels as if you’re wrapped up in a blanket… so perfect for those chilly days ahead. I wore this beautiful oversized Porter Sweater non-stop last season… but I searched around and also found this beautiful, very similar option. I love that you can wear this with just about anything, and it’s easy to layer underneath as well.
CASHMERE CREWNECK
The best $50 you’ll spend… this little cashmere crewneck sweater which is cute solo or with the neck of a white tee popping out from underneath. For a fitted look, you’ll want to go true to size, but I sized up 2 for a longer and looser fit to create some versatility with the ways I can wear it.
OVERSIZED CREWNECK SWEATER
Surprise surprise, my two favorites in this category come from Jenni Kayne and Quince. The grey option is from Quince and it’s such a beautiful fit in the softest cashmere. The fit is loose, but not super oversized, so it’s a beautiful option if that’s your preference. My other favorite is the Cocoon Alpaca Sweater from Jenni Kayne (I will say that if you’re super sensitive to wool this might bother you)… it does hang beautifully and if you love an more oversized fit it’s a great option.
