For as long as I can remember I’ve always had three things that signified the arrival of fall. The first of these? My incessant search for the seasons new comfy cozy sweater. Last year it was an oatmeal colored, ribbed turtleneck sweater (last seen here). This year it’s this Shabby Apple gold sweater. The sleeves are that perfect length. You know, that length where you can pull them slightly over your knuckles when (and if) the weather gets too chilly. My one rule for the perfect comfy cozy sweater? It must be versatile enough for both date night and hot coco on the couch night.
Second, and maybe more important than finding that perfect comfy cozy sweater (okay, well likely not)? Pumpkin anything. Muffins, frozen yogurt, oatmeal, cookies, bread, waffles…. you name it, if it’s pumpkin I’ll eat it 🙂
And last, but not least, candy corns. I’ll never forget coming home from school and seeing the small candy jar in our house filled to the brim with candy corn. That, for me, was always the indicator that fall had arrived.
