Even though we returned from Cabo late last week, I still feel as if these past few days have been our “get back into rhythm days.” The girls are in a summer camp and I can cross things off all the lists. It’s felt productive, which is always nice.
That being said, on my list of to-dos for this week were finishing this post (which I was hoping to have up the last week of May… that obviously didn’t happen) and working on June/July’s capsule wardrobe (it’ll be a combo month since we will be gone the majority of July).
A post request that I’ve received with high frequency has been a European Vacation Capsule Wardrobe, and I’m excited that it’s finally complete. I am an experiential type person, so I always prefer to try things out before I recommend them, and “what to pack for Europe” is no exception. Some of the things you see on Pinterest of the locals living life in Europe are extremely beautiful, but not always practical when you’re sightseeing and walking 15k+ steps a day.
Given that, I’ve put together a compilation of 16 pieces (most of which I took to Europe last summer, or plan to pack this year based on last year’s experience) and 16 accessories that can mix and match together to easily give you 14 days worth of daytime outfits (without having to repeat an outfit). For the evenings, I’ve given you 10 outfits, with the option to repeat, or some add in pieces that I brought last year, or plan to take this year. I didn’t add in this ivory linen dress, but I do plan to take it with me this year (it’s fully lined and washes well).
And if you’re anything like me, and diligently plan, but still end up throwing 2-3 extra pieces in your suitcase “just in case” I am thinking about this black and white contrast tank , trouser style denim shorts, this ruched top dress, and these red sunglasses (to add a bit of color to my neutral outfits)….
If you have a trip planned to Europe this summer season, I truly hope this is helpful as you plan what you want to pack. If you don’t, I still hope it can be of some assistance for any sightseeing vacations you have in other cities around the world.
