I went to an event yesterday, hosted by one of my favorite shoe brands, Beek by Two Birds, and they had a speaker who chatted about embracing the aging process… how aging is a privilege not granted to everyone, and not something to be afraid of… that as you get older, and fall into your authentic voice, and stop caring what other people think, it creates a feeling of liberation and an excitement for each day that we’re given. And I loved that. I think aging is something that we’ve been conditioned to fear- seeking the perpetual fountain of youth… that “fountain” is different for everyone… but as I’ve gotten older (in my ripe old age of 38…) I’ve found myself embracing where I am. I don’t want to go back to my 20’s (they were wrought with “what do I want to do….” “am I good enough in what I am doing,” “am I missing out on something…” etc…) and I’m actually looking forward to my 40’s and have enjoyed my 30’s (although, I will have to say I’ve been perpetually tired, haha #parenthood)…

And so it’s my hope that by sharing capsule wardrobes and different ways to style items, you can find a style that works for you, and moves with you, as you age…. not chasing every trend that presents itself, but wearing pieces that you feel confident in….
