It’s hard to believe we’re in the last full month of the summer season (although, it’ll feel like summer for us well beyond the end of summer in September), and that school starts in 7 days… so excuse me while I’m over here still trying to come to terms with how quickly this summer break has gone by (haha).

And as always, with a new month, comes a new capsule wardrobe. August (and September) are arguably the hottest months for us, so I removed the majority of the jeans and swapped in alternative bottoms and dresses. I kept the majority of the items the same, with the exception of a few new swaps:

I love this drop waist dress, and know it’ll be an easy throw on and go piece so I added it to the capsule…
I brought in this breezy white dress (which I’ve shared so many times… brought it with me to Hawaii, SHANNONX15 for 15% off first purchase) since it’s another lightweight piece that can also be dressed up for some back to school events we have (same with the black dress…).
And this tank in a tan and white contrast (since I wear the B+W all the time)
I also found myself pulling for this black strapless top (which I’ve had for months) so added it into the collection… it pairs beautifully with these longer inseam cut-offs and black denim shorts.

So nothing “new new” but some pieces are just newer to this month’s collection.

I left the denim pants in the mix in case you prefer pants over shorts… and in that scenario, any of the longer bottoms can replace the shorts.
