They say “Home is where the heart is,” and as cliché as it sounds, it’s so true. When I moved into our condo after TJ and I got married it was hard. Hard because it didn’t have that “touch.” Which was to be expected since he had free reign on the place a whole year before we were married. I was used to feminine details, small comforting items, and cozy additions. That’s not what I walked into… understandably (I must cut him some slack here!). So began my mission to “make a house a home.” It started BIG… painting (or some wallpaper in our case), fluffy sheets (thank you wedding registry), pillows that actually supported the head, and wood flooring. After the big parts were addressed, it was time to focus on the tiny little details… framed pictures, cozy throws, scented candles… you know “the frills.” I love the big design stores but also love finding smaller stores, with more personal touches. When the opportunity to collaborate with Hattan Home presented itself, it seemed so natural! I LOVE this small urchin vase as it fits perfectly on our night stands. I’ve linked a few favorites below, as I will definitely be returning for more!!
