A Summer Time Saver

With summer here, and in full force for us, I am trying to find that balance between going + going, and enjoying the slower pace of warmer + longer days. Trying to find a balance always comes down to time for me… where do I choose to invest it, who do I choose to spend it with, and how fulfilling is it.  And with the demands of virtual learning in 2020/2021, work, parenting, self-care, and everything in between,, I think everyone can agree that we could all benefit from saving our precious time so that we can invest in memory making with our family and friends… especially during this summer season.

We’ve been using Walmart’s Walmart+ membership over the past nine months to do just that: save time to spend it where it matters most. We regularly find ourselves (as much as I hate to admit it) scrambling at the last minute for things we thought we already had… charcoal for a family BBQ, goodies to make s’mores for dessert, topo chico to make those spicy margaritas, and let’s not forget swimmie diapers for Camille (we always forget about those until we literally have one left). That’s where the Walmart+ membership can help with free shipping from Walmart.com. No order minimum required, so you can get items shipped as often as you need—for free (excludes freight and Marketplace items). Depending on what you need and how fast you need it, Walmart+ offers a variety of delivery and shipping methods…

Get It Now: You can get your items with express delivery and as a W+ member they will waive the delivery fee (you still have to pay the $10 express fee)

Get It Soon: You can receive your items with free delivery from your store, as soon as today ($35 minimum, restrictions apply)

Get It By Tomorrow: You can choose from hundreds of thousands of items, shipped to your home with free shipping & no order minimum (make sure to select W+ eligible products- excludes freight & Marketplace items)

The service is $12.95 a month (say good-bye to per delivery fees) and pays for itself in just two deliveries based on the $7.95 delivery fee (and trust me, I find myself at the grocery store several times a week for things I’ve forgotten…). It saves us time that we can spend swimming in the pool, going on a family hike, having  family together, or making a special Sunday brunch. In the event that I do have to go into Walmart, I also have access to their mobile scan & go feature which allows me to check out as I go so I spend less time in the store, and it prevents additional contact with others. The program offers different benefits based on zip code and they also offer a free 15 day trial. Trying it out and seeing how much time you’ll end up saving is a win-win. You can get more information about Walmart + here…

Harper has been talking about wanting to make lemonade for everyone these past several weeks, and we were able to get everything we needed with Walmart+ (cute glasses and serving tray included) by the next day without having to leave our house (or pool…)!

I would love to know any other time saving tips you all use so that you can spend more time doing what you love!
