Create-Your-Own Indoor Workout

You’ve heard us (particularly me) complain about my disdain with this nasty 90 degree weather we’re having in SoCal (it’s not even pleasant anymore…now there’s wind!), so my hopes for beginning my training for my half marathon by running outside have been pretty much shattered (is anyone sensing the drama?). Therefore, I’m relegated to the gym, which I strongly don’t prefer, doing my workout/boot camp classes, which are not necessarily in the budget at the moment, or working out inside. The latter is generally the most appealing, since often times I feel that I have all the necessary equipment at home anyway…AND I get to control the air conditioning levels (it depresses me that we are still running the AC in November…aren’t most Americans running their heater?!). And to be honest, most of the time when I’m leaving work, I really just want to go home…anyone else relate?!

And really, I bet you could probably find a lot of household items to utilize for your workout…you just have to be a little creative! Here’s a few to get you started. Throw in some good cardio blasts and you’ve got yourself a homegrown workout!
