Weekend Snaps

As TJ and I were sitting and chatting Sunday evening, we realized that there hasn’t been a “slow” weekend since well before Thanksgiving. Which I guess explains why on Friday evening, when friends asked us out to dinner post Friday Night Lights game I mentioned I’d reached my social capacity for the week and just needed to decompress at home (it’s as if I get a second wind when I do this)….

It’s taken me years to realize this, but I’m not one who thrives with a busy social calendar. Saying no, prioritizing where to spend my time, and with who I spend my time, has become so important over the years to prevent feeling depleted (if you can’t tell, I’m definitely not an extrovert, haha). Annnd, at times I’m better at it than others… and lately, I haven’t been so good…

All of that to say, as I was prepping the schedule for the week ahead (and a few weeks out from there) I realized things start to slow a bit, and I am 100% here for it.

So with that, I hope everyone has a wonderful week ahead… being as social, or not social, as you prefer!

I’ll be sharing 7 different ways I’ve been wearing these brown adidas spezial sneakers later this week…

(Morning workout to school drop/awards ceremony….leggings, sweatshirt, socks, sneakers)

Lunch back at a favorite, Zinque… mixed up my favorite le bowl with grilled shrimp… highly recommend… Jeans, Sweater, Cropped Trench, Sneakers

(TJ is coaching the only Kinder Girls Friday night lights winter team and it’s been such a joy to watch them… they’re fast little ladies!)

(Saturday at The Pantages theater for the Wicked production… this was supposed to be a girls day with my mom, sister, and Harper, but due to a last minute change, my mom wouldn’t make it so Harper brought along one of her friends who loves Wicked just as much as she does. It was so cute to see them dressed up and excited… my go-to skirt, sweater, Harper’s dress.)

A fun Sunday with friends watching the RAMS game (with unfavorable results for those of us in So. Cal)….

This open knit top that I’ve had from Varley for a couple of years now was restocked… it’s beautiful for the spring season.

We have chilly evenings at the Friday Night Lights Field and I have my eye on this maxi brown vest to stay chic and warm… I also purchased this maxi puffer coat (shiny black color) and it has kept me so warm during the windy cool evenings…

Love this cute pointelle cardigan and pointelle henley… they seem like great spring basics…

I bought this cute faux olive plant and this decorative bowl for the house… great price point and quality.

I bought a pair of kitten heels for the spring and summer last year and loved them so much… I stumbled across this under $60 pair in brown and added to my wishlist…
