I am on a text chain with a group of moms (our daughters are all friends) and we’ve been trying to coordinate a time to get everyone together this summer season… and between trips, prior family engagements, and everything else in between, it’s proving to be much more challenging than we had anticipated. All of that to say, many of the text messages in the conversation centered around how we couldn’t actually believe that it was going to be July on Saturday and the kids have already been out of school for a month already…

And somehow, here we are, approaching the 4th of July holiday weekend… well, sort of… it’s sort of strange this year being that the 4th is on a Tuesday. Nonetheless, we’re acting like it’s a holiday weekend over here, haha. We don’t have much planned… a couple of BBQs, a date night (our college babysitter is finally home for the summer!), and then pool time…. and I hope everyone has something nice planned for their weekend as well…
