Hawaii has always been a family favorite! Allison and I have been blessed to have spent most of our childhood summer vacations on one of the several breathtaking Hawaiian Islands. My memories are many and fond. So, it always seems strange visiting without the whole family. Despite not being with the everyone, TJ and I managed to have an amazing time spending four fabulous days in Oahu and then four more on the lava covered island of Hawaii ( a first visit for us both!). We enjoyed champagne happy hours on the beach, exploring new areas, and trying out dining options recommended by the locals! I always like to say that a terrible day in Hawaii beats the best day at work. Wouldn’t you agree? By the way, this is part 1 because Allison has the privilege of heading back there in two weeks (I am already prepared to be jealous!).
{Stunning views from our hotel room at The Royal Hawaiian, fondly known as “The Pink Hotel.”}
{We spent the days lounging on Waikiki Beach, under pink umbrellas, playing cards, and wearing sand covered sandals}
{And enjoyed watching the sunsets while sipping champagne…}
{Looking for an intense workout, all while site seeing? Try a 3 mile run from Waikiki to Diamond Head, hike up the volcano, and then run back… you’ll be beach ready after!}
{We hit up a local favorite called Uncle Bo’s, which was absolutely delicious… don’t be deterred by the hole in the wall look. Other favorites included Town and MW}
{Azure, at the hotel, was equally as delicious, while being right on the water! Listening to the waves crash while sipping rose wine was perfect!}
{Champagne for breakfast is perfectly acceptable on vacation, right? Especially in a pink robe!}
{Rum Fire is a perfect spot to sip cocktails and watch the sunset!}
{Another favorite spot is the Moana Surfrider. Stunning views of Diamond Head… and delicious ahi nachos…}
{Tasty and fresh Acai Bowls at Bogarts, a quick run from the center of town! They also have indulgent banana pancakes…}
{I can’t say enough about how much I love this gorgeous island!}
{We spent day one floating in the water, watching sea turtles, hiking through lava rocks, and sipping champagne as the sun set at Makalawena Beach}
{We stayed at the Fairmont Orchid, which was gorgeous and the service was impeccable! Skirt and Top here}
{Swimsuit | KORE}
{We spent our last day at Kua Bay soaking up all the beautifulness Hawaii has to offer!}
{Amazing Acai Bowls at Basik}
