All Things Swim, Spring Edition

With all the time we’ve been spending out by our pool lately, I’ve been able to pull out some of my go-to, favorite, swim pieces earlier than usual. And with spring break happening now… or being just around the corner for many… I thought I would do a Springtime Swim Edition post… whether you’re heading to the beach or your local heated pool and having a staycation hopefully it can help a little…..

I broke it down into three separate sections. The first, I styled a little black one piece suit four ways (I feel as if everyone has a black suit, so hopefully it was general enough…). In the second section, I share all my personal swim favorites from over the past couple of seasons that have been restocked. And lastly, I round up some newer arrivals that I think would be super cute however you’re spending your spring break….

A few favorite swim brands I’ve come to appreciate over the past few years include Tiare Hawaii (love their versatile dresses and skirts), Solid + Striped (the white one piece suit + white two piece I wear from them are sustainably made), Vitamin A Swim (all sustainable swim-ware), and L*Space.

Hope you all have a great day!

TAKE ONE SUIT, WEAR IT 4 WAYS

(White Sandals | Hat | Tote Bag | Earrings | Black Sandals)

I love the notion of a capsule vacation wardrobe… and did one two summers ago. It makes packing so much easier. Instead of doing a full capsule vacation wardrobe, I thought it would be fun to share several different ways you can wear a little black suit…..

Look 1: I rave about this oversized linen button down all the time, but it’s so good… and chic. Easily toss it on over the black suit, button it up, and toss on your accessories and you’re ready to go. If you want to wear it unbuttoned, I love it paired with these linen shorts.

Look 2: I bought this white wrap skirt in black two seasons ago and it’s still one of my all time favorite swim coverups… I love that it works for the beach/pool and transitions effortlessly to happy hour. And a good one pieces suit can function as a bodysuit or swimsuit… so you can basically wear this outfit for whatever your day entails….

Look 3: Cut-offs are always a staple when I go on vacation… and with a good done piece the outfit works for heading to the beach/pool or a casual lunch (just like the above look).

Look 4: Again, with this look you can wear the leopard cover-up with shorts, wear it unbuttoned with just the suit, or wear it fully buttoned… several different options and each way you wear it gives you a slightly different look. If you opt to pair it with shorts, the cut offs or linen shorts I mentioned above would both work easily.

PERSONAL FAVORITE SWIM, RESTOCKED

WHITE ONE PIECE: I bought this suit at the beginning of Spring last year and love the low back and how cute it looks with cut-offs. I also own this ruffle low back suit (great price)… I’ve had it for 3 years and highly recommend it as well.

DUSTER COVERUP: This is a great cover-up if you want something for the cooler summer evenings and mornings… pairs great with the track joggers I mentioned below!

OVERSIZED LINEN BUTTON-DOWN: I mentioned this one above, but was for sure one of my most worn cover-ups last season. It’s meant to be an oversized fit… so I roll up the sleeves to give it a little more “style.” I think it’s super easy to front know with a pair of shorts as well.

RIBBED HIGH WAISTED BOTTOMS + TOP: I purchased this ribbed suit, in brown, at the end of the summer and ended up wearing the suit non stop. It fits so well, is super comfortable, and sustainably made as well. I fully intend on wearing it this season as well.

RAFFIA TOTE BAG: I bought this bag for our scheduled trip to Hawaii last March (we didn’t end up going), but used it throughout the summer for pool days at my parents. It’s roomy enough for beach essentials, but won’t fit a bunch of towels or anything (so if that’s what you’re looking for, this isn’t the bag for that!).

COVER-UP TRACK TROUSERS: I share these all the time, but they’re a great cover-up pant… good for those months filled with June gloom, or just a cooler summer evening. The white is see through, so I don’t really recommend them for everyday wear, unless you have a great nude pair of underwear…. Someone sent me these as a less expensive alternative.

CONVERTIBLE SKIRT: I purchased this two seasons ago, right after I had Camille, and it’s a great two for one piece. You can wear it as a skirt, or wear it as a strapless dress and both options look super cute.

BLACK WRAP SKIRT (only available in white now): I mentioned this piece above, but it’s a great option to take you from day to night…

DRIFTWOOD SWEATER: This isn’t pictured here, but I purchased this with a gift certificate my sister gave me last year and it’s another great transitional coverup for those cooler months. It does snag easily, but I figured that and was ok with it!
