Wellness Wednesday || Go-To Wellness Products + Spring Workout Pieces

Halfway through the week and the countdown for Friday is on… not that I’m counting or anything….

Today’s post is two-fold. First, I’m sharing several products that I have been using regularly (some for over a year) for my health and wellness, and chatting a little bit about why I use them and the changes I’ve noticed since I started incorporating them into my daily routine. Second, I’m sharing a few spring fitness favorites (at the end)… workout gear that I’ve been wearing regularly that are great for those transitional spring temps!

Hope it’s helpful in some way and that you all have a great day ahead!
_______

MY GO-TO WELLNESS PRODUCTS

RITUAL MULTIVITAMINS: I’ve been taking these multivitamins since November 2019 and they’re great. They have a nice minty aftertaste, which means I don’t get that lingering fishy taste in my mouth after they start to digest. They’re designed in a time release capsule which means you won’t feel nauseous after taking them either. They take a food first approach to nutrients so they have the 8 essential nutrients that are hardest to get from food alone (folate, omega-3, boron, magnesium and vitamins B12, D3, K2, and E) and nothing else. They are also GMO-free; major allergen–free; gluten-free; artificial color–free; synthetic filler–free, and vegan as well. They also make a multi-vitamin for men, kiddos, and prenatals. I take two capsules every morning, and they’re the only multivitamin routine I’ve been able to stick to. (code SHANNONP10 for 10% off)

SHORE MAGIC MARINE COLLAGEN: I’ve been using marine collagen for the past several months. I love Shore Magic marine collagen because there are no added fillers so it’s in its purest form and it’s more absorbable than bovine collagen which means better results. I personally take marine collagen to healthy hair growth, joint health, bone health, overall mood, post workout recovery, to reduce inflammation in the body, and overall digestion + gut health.

I typically mix one scoop with my morning tea (coffee works even better) or I mix it into oatmeal or my overnight oats. I personally use the sachets (easy when you’re on the go) with my tea drinks because they mix easier and are tasteless (I’m super sensitive to taste).

Since using, my nails are stronger, I have baby hairs sprouting where I once lost hair, and feel as if I am recovering quicker post workout (I used to have a nagging lower back/hip injury which has subsided over the past several weeks). My digestion is much better as well. (Shannon10 for 10% off)

EQUILIBRIA CBD: I know I’ve chatted about my fondness of CBD over the past year, but it really has been a game changer in terms of my overall wellness. I’ve been using equilibria for over a year now, and my sleep has dramatically improved since then.

I take one gel tablet about 30 minutes after dinner (so that it has something to help my body absorb it) and then right before I hop into bed I take a half dropper of the CBD oil. I would say 90-95% of the time I can fall asleep within 15ish minutes… whereas before it was taking me forever to fall asleep (it was as if my head hit the pillow and my mind would race). It doesn’t make me groggy at all, and if I do wake up in the middle of the night (because I have to use the restroom or tend to one of the girls) then I fall back to sleep right away.

CBD can also be taken for anxiety, yet that’s not the primary reason I use it, so if this is why you’re considering it, Equilibria is a great option because they have a dosage consultant who can help you get the correct dosage amount/times based on your individual health needs/goals. (15% off with code SHANNON)

GARMIN VENU WATCH: Obviously not a supplement, but the Garmin Venu tracker has been such a great way for me to track health stats other than heart rate/calories burned in a workout. I love that it tracks my overall stress levels throughout the day, as well as my body battery (helps me to know when I should rest a little). I’ve had it since November and have been super happy with it so far.

SHAKLEE PROTEIN POWDER: Love adding their chocolate protein powder to our afternoon smoothies. It’s non-gmo, soy free, dairy free, and vegan. It adds the best chocolate flavor as well!
