So, TJ has been gone since early Sunday morning + and comes home today. Needless to say, I’m ready for Friday…. but I’ll accept the fact that it’s hump day and we only have two more days until then….
If you follow along on instagram you see most of the daily meals I prep… and last week someone requested that I share my weekly grocery shopping list and share with everyone so that people can follow along with the meals during the week. Enough people expressed interest in this idea, so I decided to give it a space here to live permanently. I’ve done grocery shopping lists over the past several years, and while they haven’t changed much from year to year, I have added in new products over the past several months. I pretty much buy the same thing every week and then TJ + I base what we’re having on what sounds good… and from there we try to get creative. Nothing crazy, we don’t have time for that with two little ones… but maybe just switch a few things up here + there. We try to keep all our meals under 30 minutes, with easy and simple ingredients. I find that the more ingredients we add to a dish, the more labor intensive + time consuming it becomes….
So below I’ve included our weekly grocery list, along with the tentative meals I have planned for the week ahead. We’ll be heading out of town on Thursday morning, so I’m relying on go-to favorites for next week’s dinner menu. Hope you find it helpful!
TRADER JOE’S
Something I do want to note about the Trader Joe’s items is that you can typically find similar options at any other local market. There might be a few exclusives, like the cauliflower gnocchi, spiralized carrots, and some of the dressings, but don’t let the fact that you might not have a Trader Joe’s hold you back from joining us!
