It’s no secret I love the occasional libation. Having been pregnant during the holiday season last year, coming up with fun cocktails wasn’t really an option. So a few weeks ago, when TJ + I went out to dinner and he ordered a gin + tonic we both agreed that it would be so easy to create a fun version of this traditional cocktail at home. And that’s just what we did two weekends ago. I had been at Anthropologie earlier that day, and picked up these beautiful glasses for the holidays (and beyond…), so we decided to break them in…. we picked up some gin, fever-tree tonic water (the best in our opinion), rosemary, + grapefruit… and got to mixing (well, mainly pouring…). The end result was a refreshingly dry, full of flavor, + simple cocktail that would be great for any Thanksgiving or Christmas celebration.
If you’re looking for something a tad richer than this lighter libation, check out our version of the campfire cocktail we made several years ago. It’s seriously so good.
Rosemary + Grapefruit Gin + Tonic
Ingredients
1/4 cup + 2 tbsp Gin (we prefer Bombay Sapphire)
Fever-Tree Elderberry Tonic Water
Fresh Grapefruit
Fresh Rosemary
Directions
Fill cocktail glass with ice (we love using one large, round, ice cube). Pour in tonic water to desired level, squeeze some grapefruit juice (and toss in the grapefruit for garnishing), and add a spring of rosemary. Cheers, sip, + enjoy!
