Travel Style || Comfort, Comfort, Comfort

Over the years, I’ve come to perfect my travel style… which doesn’t veer too far from my everyday style of comfortable + casual. After a few poor choices while traveling… resulting in being too cold… or struggling with my shoes at the security line…. I’ve come to follow four requirements for all my traveling outfits… and I’m sharing them with you today!

1. Comfort: I mean, obviously. You won’t catch me stepping onto a plane, or strapping my seatbelt for a long road trip, in anything uncomfortable…. meaning my shoes are typically flat (comfy kicks or slides), my waist band stretchy, and a comfy top layer in hand. My favorite pieces to travel in include joggers, leggings, oversized pullovers, soft jumpsuits, basic tops, and cozy wraps.

2. Versatile: I always like to make sure that the pieces I choose for travel can also be worn when I’m at the final destination (cuts down on the amount of items I actually have to pack….). Adidas Originals has some of the most versatile pieces that do the trick… and Nordstrom has a great selection that can easily be mixed in with their great on trend items. I love this logo tank for a casual day of travel (especially paired with these short person friendly joggers), and it can easily transition into a daytime piece by pairing it with a pair of jeans and a duster cardigan… and can also be worn for a morning workout  with these leggings (which you could also wear traveling…). Another piece that would easily transition are these comfortable 3 stripe shorts... wear them with a cozy pullover for travel…. the tank featured today for a workout… and a denim jacket + basic white tee for a super casual daytime look.

3. Layers: Such a key for me… since the temperature on a flight fluctuates, and everyone has different temperature preferences on a road trip, dressing in easy layers is a must. Joggers can easily be pushed up the calves and having a comfy pullover, wrap, or jacket that is easy to remove and put back on is a must!

4. Easy Shoes: I think I wore a pair of booties, when I was pregnant, one time on a flight. Trying to take them off at the security check point, and then put them back on, simply wasn’t worth the effort (mind you, I was seven months pregnant…). Now, I opt for sneakers that can easily be slipped on + off, or a slide… which is even better (just bring a pair of socks with you on the flight).

And that’s it… happy travels friends
