In my pre-motherhood days, I used to be an avid reader. I’d get through 20 or so books a year…. lounging by the pool in the summer… cozied up on the couch in the winter…. I loved getting lost in the pages of a book. Since becoming a mom, it’s something I sort of lost. Where I used to have free time (outside of when I work out) is now dedicate to my time to work on the blog. Yet, over the past couple of months, I’ve been trying to be better about carving out a little bit of time, each evening, to read a few pages of a book…. and on Monday evening, I remembered what it felt like to become so literally engrossed in the pages that I stayed up way too late (11:30pm is late for me) because I couldn’t stop. All that to say, I immediately picked up another book, and since sharing on instagram, have received such positive feedback, that I thought I’d share my summer bucket list of books with you today (and there are a few sentences at the end of this post about the outfit… in case books just aren’t your thing!)…..

Now, onto the outfit. I know it’s summer and all, but I run cold. Always have…. and I love a good lightweight layer for a summer evening. This thermal is perfect for it… slightly oversized and easy to toss on over a tank too… we love heading to the beach for evening picnics and you can bet it’ll be worn over and over again on those little mid-week nights!….

Annnd, I’m heading to the Nordstrom Sale today with my mom and sister… it’s something we’ve been doing for longer than I can remember… and will share all my favorites on the blog tomorrow (I know, I know, I’m a little behind….).
