We’re heading out of town tomorrow, so yesterday was spent making the final preparations…. which meant I pretty much looked like a bum the entire day…. no make-up, messy hair, and stretchy pants all day long…. and didn’t shower until 7pm. Hoping packing the night before, as opposed to the morning of, will prevent the inevitable forgetting of things that inevitably always happens….
Items packed include summery dresses, cut-offs, sandals, a bathing suit… and two body suits. When bodysuits first made a come back, no matter how cute the one I was looking at was, the only visual I got was my younger self wearing one over (or under) stirrup leggings. Yet, times change, trends evolve, and as I started incorporating them into my own style, I became obsessed. You see, I love the “tucked in” look of a tee…. but hate when it comes “untucked…” The bodysuit is the perfect antidote. You can wear them with skirts, cut-offs, jeans, under overalls, dressed up for an evening, or down for everyday life. I’ve amassed quite a selection over the past year, and thought I’d share a few of my favorites with you today.
I own this pretty little lace option in two colors…. and love it paired with jeans or cut-offs. It’s dressy enough for an evening out… and can be worn super casual as I paired it today. Free People makes some of my all time favorites, like this super basic u-neck mauve option (I’ve worn it with a skirt, and as featured at the end of the post)… and this fitted stripe bodysuit is super soft and comfortable…. I bought this ruffle black bodysuit for this coming weekend because I own it in a pink color from last season. And, of course, this white, low back, option that doubles as a swimsuit and a bodysuit….
So, a couple of my favorites are packed away in my suitcase… along with 10 other things I probably don’t need…. #overprepared or #overpacker????
