Favorite Products October: Fashion, Beauty, + Healthy Living Items I’m Loving

favorite products october, itsy bitsy indulgences

One of my favorite posts of the month! My favorite products from October. Today you’ll find some delicious healthy food finds, some clothing items that have been on heavy rotation, and some beauty products that are helping me practice self-care! I hope you like them as much as I do. Have a great weekend everyone… we will be spending the weekend exploring, laying low, and of course enjoying some wine!
_____________

FOOD:

1. GTS Kombucha Third Eye Chai Flavor: So, I know I’ve feature GTS Kombucha before, but seriously, if you love a good chai tea latte this flavor is for you…. I pretty much wipe out Whole Food’s stash every time I go.

2. Siggi’s Whole-Milk Yogurt: I don’t really eat dairy, but sometimes I crave a yogurt muesli…. or some in a smoothie, and when I do, I turn to Siggi’s. I just recently tried their yogurts, and really love the texture and flavor. Here’s a low down on why I dig the product: milk from grass-fed cows, no aspartame, no sucralose, no gelatin, no artificial colorings, no preservatives, no high fructose corn syrup, and non-GMO verified. Now that the pediatrician has given me the go-ahead to give Harper yogurts, this is pretty much the only one I reach for. Tj’s a pretty big fan of it too!

3. Nomva Smoothie Pouches: I stumbled across these at Whole Foods (I swear, I can never leave this place with just the items on my list… same with Target… anyone else??) and was drawn to the ease at getting fruits and vegetables. I also love that they are full of probiotics, fiber, and tons of vegetables. I usually split one with Harper after her afternoon nap… and girlfriend loves them.

4. Unreal Peanut Butter Cups: I actually accidentally stumbled upon these when Sprout’s was out of Justin’s Peanut Butter Cups. I looked at the ingredients and decided that they looked good to go and decided to give them a try. Their mission is pretty much to make old candy favorites (think Reese’s + M&Ms) better for you by eliminating junk, using less sugar, and non-GMO ingredients. They are gluten, corn, and soy free… so it’s pretty much guiltless indulging if you will. Oh, and I dare you to try to stop at one. We can’t!

Fashion:

1. Bell Sleeved Sweater: I stumbled across this sweater when I was working on this post, and fell in love with it. I love the dramatic sleeves, and the sweater is incredibly soft. I initially purchased it in the olive color (which I still think is beautiful), but when I saw the rust color I thought it was perfect for fall.

2. Leggings:I was looking for some leggings that were a little dressier than my basic black option when I found these. I decided to try them out in the olive color (seen here). I loved the fit so much that I purchased them in the black color as well…. and turned my mom on to them as well (she snagged the black and burgundy). The detailing makes them look slightly worn, just how I like them.

3. Booties: Last season I was on the hunt for a reasonably priced pair of ankle booties. I wanted a chestnut color, and also wanted them to be pointy toed. The pair that I found didn’t have a zipper and I couldn’t, for the life of me, get my heel into them (when I started to break a sweat I determined it was a lost cause and sent them back…). This season, I resumed the hunt and stumbled across this pair. They’re super comfortable, well made, and the zipper on the inside makes them super easy to get on and off (read: I don’t have to break a sweat just to put them on…. and I don’t need someone to pull them off either….). I last featured them here.

4. Lace Bralette: As I’ve been in the weaning process, this lace bralette has been my little treat. I love adding it to a basic oversized tee or tank, as the lace that peeks out adds a nice feminine touch. It’s so well made and I love how dainty it is.

5. Faux Leather Jacket: I’m a fan of this jacket for so many different reasons. It comes in multiple colors (I got it in dark grey), is a great price point, and of excellent quality. I can easily layer underneath it for the cooler temps, and the design is classic enough to last across the years.

6. Lace Cami: I scooped up this cami during ShopBop’s sale…. I’d had my eye on it for a while and decided that since it was on sale, I’d give it a try. Couldn’t be happier. I love layering it underneath a chunky cardigan (love the juxtaposition), and wearing it solo with my favorite distressed jeans. The material is so soft and I love how it feels against my skin.

7. White Kicks: If you follow along on instagram, you’ve likely seen these kicks all the time. I purchased them for this post, and have seriously worn them probably 15/30 days of the month. They’re plain white, so they go with everything, and they’re super comfy. Could you ask for anything else in a pair of shoes?

BEAUTY:

1. Overnight Skin Rescue Treatment Cream: (c/o) As I’ve been coming to the end of my nursing journey, my hormones have started to fluctuate, and my skin has started to become a little dry. I started using this overnight cream and it instantly added moisture to my facial skin and made it feel supple again. If you’re looking for a new night cream, you can get 25% off and free shipping if you use code shannonnight25 (this is only good on the night cream).

2. NYX Tinted Brow Mascara: When I went darker with my hair for fall, my hairdresser and I chatted about dying my eyebrows as well. Since I love changes like this, I was all for it…. and loved the darker feature it added…. So much so that I wanted them to be a little darker. I decided to look for a different eyebrow filler and stumbled upon this budget friendly option…. and I’m hooked. It’s pretty much mascara for your eyebrows, stays on all day long, and helped me obtain that darker look I was going for.

3. Mer Sea Hand + Foot Balm: (c/o) Well, this stuff is pretty amazing. With how much I work out, my feet are always in need of some deep nourishment (i.e a callus treatment when I get a pedi is always required). This balm is like giving myself a pedicure at home…. it has sea salt in it which acts as an exfoliation for my poor feet, and the aloe vera, cocoa butter, and avocado oil give my feet (and hands for that matter) the moisture they crave. I finish it up by rubbing the Mer Sea Lotion into my hands + feet.

4. Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eye Color: These eyeliners/eye shadows are amazing. I’ve been using them for little over a year and think that the creamy texture adds a natural look to my daily make-up routine. I recently purchased the color Khaki and think it’s a great color option if you’re tired of black or brown.
