Favorite Products August: Fashion, Baby, Food, + Beauty

This is always one of my favorite posts to write. I love finding products to elevate everyday living and I get equally excited to share them with you! Let me know if there are ever any items you’d like me to test out and report back on!

FASHION:

favorite products, itsy bitsy indulgences

1. Sweater: I first saw this gorgeous light pink sweater on-line, amongst other items. I noticed that Anthropologie has a new feature (similar to Nordstrom) where you can purchase on-line and pick the item up in store. For me, this feature is a lifesaver since I don’t always have a lot of time to peruse. So, I ordered two other tops and headed into the store to pick them up. Well, right as I walked in, this beauty was hanging on a rack. The color is so soft, the fit is perfectly oversized (but not too big… kind of that “lived in” look), and I knew it would be the perfect sweater for this coming fall.

2. Bri Bri Belt: I love this belt. It’s not cheap, but I think it’s the perfect addition to an otherwise basic outfit (and you all know how much I love basics). I’ve worn it with shorts, used it with a dress, and plan on wearing it all throughout the fall and winter months. I love the rose gold buckles… but think the gold is pretty too.

3. Hat: True confession: I’ve gone a week without washing my hair. So, hats are my best friend. Honestly, after waking up at 5:30, getting in my workout, making breakfast, nursing Harper, and doing floor time, I’m usually too tired to wash my hair with regular frequency. For those days where it’s becoming a little questionable as to whether or not it is appropriate to go another day, I rely on my hats. This was a new addition this month, and I can’t stop (won’t stop) wearing it. It was an investment, but the quality and color make it appropriate to wear into the cooler months. To be honest, all hats by Janessa Leone are amazing.

4. Straw Tote: I’ve worn this tote so many times on the blog (here, here, here) that I figured it deserved a spot here. What’s the big deal? I think its shape, white detailing, and its size make it the perfect everyday tote. I’ve already been brainstorming ways to make it fall appropriate…. because I just don’t think I’ll be ready to retire it!

5. Shashi Bracelets: I’ve been a fan of the brand for a while, but lately, since I’ve been doing the whole casual Saturday thing, I’ve been layering on a few of their bracelets and its made my outfit feel slightly more pulled together.

6. Romper: I came across this romper a while ago, but never purchased it. Then, when I was looking for something in between a dress and shorts/tee combo, I decided it was time to revisit this beauty. At the price point + quality, I thought it was perfect. It’s easy access for you nursing mommas too… simply pull the shoulder off and voilá! I plan on transitioning it into fall with a suede jacket (or leather) and some cute booties.

7. Mesh Tank: Another item that’s been on heavy rotation this month. I purchased the white one a while back for our trip to Hawaii, yet recently purchased the black color too. I think it’s a great item if you’re loving the athletaleisure trend (like me!). It’s also comfortable and airy to work out in… a multipurpose top!

8. High Waisted Leggings: These are, in one word, amazing. They hug in all the right places, are soft like velvet, and of great quality. I have two colors. I wear them all the time (even when it’s 90 degrees out.).

BABY:

1. Humidifier: Little miss came down with a cough this past week, and we’ve been using this humidifier in her room. Its helped immensely, as she’s been able to sleep through the night without the cough disrupting her. In all honesty though, this was a shower gift, and one that we used before she arrived when I came down with a nasty cold. It’s small, effective, and I just love the color options.

2. Bath Toy: Girlfriend doesn’t like to be in the bath without a toy, and this one is her new jam. Just don’t take it away from her or she might get mad.

3. Carseat Cover: I wrote about this here, but as I’ve continued to use it over the course of the month I’ve loved it more. I like that she can sit in a highchair at a restaurant with us, and just the other day, on a Target outing, she was a big girl and sat in the cart.

4. Woven Wall Hanging: This is one of my favorite decor items in Harper’s room. When I was decorating her room, I knew I had to have a wall hanging, and this one was custom made just to my liking. It’s well crafted and just the perfect size for her room.

5. Headwraps:  We pretty much never leave the house without a head wrap…. and the options from Kkrza are endless. She has the cutest prints and styles for any outfit or occasion.

FOOD PRODUCTS:

1. Vital Proteins Collagen: I can’t wait to share more on this item in the next few weeks (think recipes) but I swear it has assisted in the slowing of hair loss, as well as the regrowth. I just received the vanilla and chocolate flavors and can’t wait to incorporate them into my daily rotation. I currently add it to my morning oatmeal.

2. Rice Cauliflower (available at Trader Joe’s): This is a game changer. I used it 3 times this past week. I made a soup with it, spanish rice, as well as a rice with herbs. Such a great way to get in some tasty veggies!

3. Rice Seasonings: These pair perfectly with the above rice, and I’ve been using them like it’s no one’s business.

4. Epiphany Rosé: So, I tasted this rosé at the end of our last wine tasting trip, and knew I liked it, but wasn’t certain because I had tasted throughout the day. When we opened it up one Friday evening I was immediately bummed I didn’t buy more bottles. It’s crisp, refreshing, and pretty much amazing.

5. Bone Broth: I had heard so much about the benefits of bone broth and had been wanting to give it a try for a long time. When I was picking up items for dinner last Saturday, this company was offering samples. It was so good. We ended up buying a few packages of it and I’ve been cooking with it throughout the week. It’s flavorful and the health benefits are pretty amazing.

BEAUTY PRODUCTS:

1. OPI Infinite Shine: I typically find a nail color and then wear it until I’m sick of it. So, the last time that happened, I stumbled across this color (You’re Blushing Again) in the infinite shine option. It lasted about 2 days longer than regular polish, and the shine is pretty fab.

2. Sally Hansen Insta Dry: This stuff dries super quick. Which is what I was looking for since I usually paint my nails Friday night after I put Harper down and pre-wine… and I need them to dry so I can sip my vino!

3. TULA Revitalizing Eye Cream: My under eye skin has been so dry lately. I had recently changed eye creams, and decided to go back to this one. My under eye skin immediately started to clear up….. I pretty much love TULA’s entire collection of products.

4. La Mer Creme de La Creme: Ok, so when you’re wedding dress shopping they always tell you not to try on a dress outside your budget because you’ll fall in love with it and nothing will compare. They should tell you the same for skin moisturizer. I received this as a sample, and fell in love with it. The texture is amazing (I can’t even find the words for it) and it leaves my skin glowing. I’m pretty much hoarding the last bits because I’m pretty sure this isn’t in my budget.

5. Living Proof Dry Shampoo: Remember when I mentioned that I haven’t washed my hair in a week? Well, it was all made possible by this dry shampoo. I don’t use it often, but when I do, this is my go to. I love the smell, and it adds some pretty great volume to dirty hair!

6. Laura Mercier Blush: I took a break from this shade (spiced cider) for a few moths and recently returned to it. I love this line of blushes. The pigments are gorgeous, and a little goes a long way!
