As I’ve mentioned before, I am notorious for making what I call “one-time wear” purchases. They are pretty much “Oh my gosh! I have to have that!” purchases that are worn once… because I have only one occasion to wear the item to OR I just have nothing in my closet to go with it! So, when I was shopping on-line several weeks ago (one of the many times…) I saw this neon pink boyfriend sweater at GAP! I could immediately envision several outfits AND occasions that I could wear the sweater to throughout the summer. I was sold immediately. I sometimes feel as if anything with the word “boyfriend” in it automatically makes the item swim on me… literally looking like my hubby’s. This sweater is a perfect balance between loose and feminine. It “hugs” and “hangs” in all the right places, making it one of my go-to pieces for this summer! 1. Father’s Day: Holidays are crazy for the hubby and me. We are typically running between families so I try to opt for clothing that is comfortable but chic. I decided to throw on an old striped shift dress and this neon pink sweater to create a nice contrast!

2. Wine night with the sister! I wanted something casual with a little more of an edgy feel. I LOVE these Rory Beca shorts (purchased last summer)! They are perfect for a warm summer night out with the girls and have enough pizzaz to not look like pajama shorts! I’d go with a cute pair of printed shorts if you’re in the market!

3. I wore this out on a recent date night with the hubby. I was feeling slightly edgy, but wanted to balance that edge with something feminine… so I threw on the pink sweater! When I am looking to have a little edge in my otherwise feminine and classic look, I reach for these studded pumps. I also love the contrast between the pink and army green!
