Growing up I can vividly recall admiring my mother’s, and my grandmother’s, pieces of jewelry. I loved going into my mom’s jewelry box and picking out pieces to try on. As I got older, I was able to actually wear the pieces for special occasions. I loved the story behind each piece… a gift from my father, the first piece my mother ever purchased on her own (which was a simple gold band that she gave to me and I wear daily), or a hand me down from multiple generations (my grandmother has a “promise ring” that her grandfather gave to her grandmother… I just love that story). For my 30th birthday, my grandmother gave me a ring that had belonged to my great-grandmother. For me, a piece of jewelry can make an entire outfit, which is why it is almost always at the top of my “wish-list” for special holidays… hint, hint… Mother’s Day.
One such line that knows no generational boundaries is Kendra Scott. When I hosted an event there a couple of years ago, my grandmother and mother of course came…. and couldn’t help but pick up a few pieces for themselves (my dad even owns a set of their cuff links). Since pieces are customizable, and come in rose gold, gold, and silver options it was appealing to the three different generations. As I still haven’t picked out the exact gifts I will be giving for mother’s day, I am leaning towards a piece of jewelry from Kendra Scott… and her pieces top my own personal wish-list. I love this pair of earrings and how it can seamlessly make an ordinary, all white ensemble, transform into something with a little bit of edge. A simple gold cuff easily pulls it all together. I also own this necklace and cuff, another combination that would pair perfectly with this outfit… or any of the other pieces I own in my closet (see below for a second fun look).

I love that the line’s pieces can also add a simple touch of glam to an already “fancier” outfit. Without going over the top, this drusy double ring adds just the right amount of glitz. I love these earrings as a gift for my mom too and think these ear climbers in rose gold would be a perfect addition as well, which is why they are on my personal list for Mother’s Day. A few other favorites include this turquoise bracelet and this body chain (both perfect for Hawaii).
