{Lovely little blooms}

I went into the weekend having made a pretty big life decision (more on that later this week) and so I was ready for a little glass of bubbly Friday evening.  We had no real plans, and that’s kind of how the weekend stayed. There was a spontaneous Saturday morning breakfast at one of our favorite spots… and then we laid low for the rest of the weekend. We made a delicious homemade Mexican fiesta on Saturday night, complete with an excellent new favorite Sauvignon Blanc (I just love finding new wines) and our favorite Apple radio station (it goes between John Mayer and Rod Stewart these days). Even though we didn’t really do much, as I sit here Sunday night, I don’t know where the last two days went (maybe that has something with being a mom??). So, here’s to hoping the week goes just as fast as the weekend did, right??

Still keeping up with BBG, and this weekend I got TJ in on the action for the 600 rep ab challenge. Let me tell you, I go into these workouts thinking they aren’t going to challenge me, but 2 minutes in and I am proven wrong!

I’m in the market for some new basics for summer and I am loving this tee (comes in so many different colors), simple shift tank dress (3 different colors), these little pastel pink and white sneakers, a light washed denim jacket, lace up white blouse (will probably wear this daily), these denim shorts, and white overalls paired with this little crop. I snagged this blue maxi dress and lace up dress on a recent shopping trip with my mom. She grabbed the softest chambray dress, which I plan on borrowing (never too old for that, right??). To dress all these pieces up for fancier occasions, I’m eyeing these sandals (which come in multiple colors too!). I love that all the items can be mixed together too, which makes them the perfect everyday essentials!

Now that we’re in May, the official countdown to Hawaii has begun (a few weeks away!). I’m starting to curate my wish-list items for the trip and I’m looking at this cute straw tote, white mesh bathing suit,  geo print high low dress (perfect for a casual evening sipping mai tais). I’m also eyeing this tassel swimsuit, open back tank (perfect for a travel day to a pretty beach), a multi-colored knit tank as a possible beach cover-up, and this gorgeous caftan (each year I say I am going to buy one… this just might be the one!).
