I’ve always been an over thinker. The type who changed their original answers on a multiple choice test to the one “I thought was right.” Going against my first choice, gut reaction. It didn’t bode well on standardized tests. The type of over thinker who analyzes too much, weighs out each side too heavily, and ultimately ends up saying, “I should have trusted my gut.” Needless to say, as I have moved into my 30’s, it’s something I have begun to rely on more heavily. Ditching the battle in the head and trusting my experiences.

Enter the weekend. I had little time to get ready for an outing. Between squeezing in a workout, nursing, and taking a shower (it seemed that was only necessary given the workout previously mentioned), I’d left myself about 5 minutes to put an outfit together with a little muchkin who just wouldn’t let me put her down (you know the game? You’ll inevitably always lose.). I went with my gut and grabbed a few favorite pieces (like the softest chambray top and favorite bralette… I left that dang nursing bra behind #overit)… ones I always tend to feel most confident wearing. I didn’t over think it (there simply wasn’t time) and it ended up being a favorite. Lesson learned… or is it learning the lesson? Either way, it makes life a little easier.
