The other day on the way to school drop off TJ commented on how, compared to last year, the May weather has been so beautiful. I told him to knock on every single piece of wood he could find, and sure enough, the past two days have been gloomy, dreary, and very much reminiscent of last May’s May Grey season. I’ve learned not to jinx myself with these things. He hasn’t.
All of that to say, before the gloom paid us a visit, I was on a major vest kick. I’d toyed with the idea of adding one to my wardrobe for a bit, then committed with this little linen vest when it was on sale (which, it still is 37% off… size up 2 for a looser, more relaxed fit). It sat in the packaging for a bit, as I wasn’t feeling motivated enough to style it with pieces in my closet, and then the sun appeared, and my motivation returned, and the vest moved itself into a regular rotation (and I included it in May’s capsule…).
I loved how it added something “different” to my wardrobe without being another basic tee, or committing to a “top” that might not be easy enough for everyday wear, that I added in this denim vest (went up a size) and longer linen vest (tts) when they both went on sale.
