I’m having a hard time believing it’s only Tuesday and not Friday. I started this week behind the eight ball and things just seem to be going along those general lines… huge toddler meltdown (over we still don’t know what…) at pre-school pickup as the cherry on top of it all. Needless to say, Friday can’t come quickly enough over here….
When I was thinking about what I wanted to bring on our last Park City trip I stumbled across these sweater pants and knew that they would be great for traveling, and all of our other non-snow related activities. Unfortunately they didn’t arrive in time, and since I already had several outfits planned around them, I hit the internet in search of something similar that I could find “same day…” and stumbled across these sweater pants. Long story short, the latter pair came on the trip, and when I got home and tried on the former pair, I knew they were both worth keeping… and that I would get a ton of wear out of them this coming winter season.
Why? They’re a really comfortable and easy way to elevate a casual outfit… pieces that I might ordinarily wear with leggings or joggers (if I’m not wearing jeans) get an instant glow up with the sweater pants. They’re warm, comfortable, on trend with a trouser feel to them, and don’t look like sweats. To top it off, they’re incredibly versatile, and today I’m sharing 8 easy ways that you can wear them this winter season.
A few notes about sizing. For the Free Assembly pair, they run true to size, but if you’re between sizes I would recommend going up. I also didn’t have to hem these, so they were wearable out of the bag (always a plus for me). Personally, I didn’t find these to be see through. Yes, you can see the pockets, but with nude underwear I couldn’t see anything. For the Express pair, they fit true to size as well (I did see reviews that said they run large, but they seemed okay for me… size down if you’re between sizes) but they do have a longer inseam, and I did have to get them hemmed (luckily my mom was able to do that for me hours before I zipped up the suitcase for the night). This pair is a bit thicker. Both come in several colors (might have to get the camel shade…) and I’ll be including them in December’s capsule wardrobe (which I’ll have up tomorrow… hopefully… haha).
