TJ took yesterday off so we could enjoy an extra slow day, and it was nice to not have to wake up on Monday morning and get back into the swing of things… but I’d be lying if I said I didn’t thrive on routine, so getting back to our daily schedule is always something I look forward to…
It’s been very May Grey like here lately… gloomy and overcast… with the sun peeking out around 4pm everyday… so I’m thinking I might have to pull out my joggers and pullovers again… but in the meantime, I put together 5 new looks, using items I already own mixed with newer pieces, that would all be great for a spring or summer day! Sharing a little bit about each piece below……
(Romper (more cute Z Supply pieces) | Sandals)
This gauze romper is super versatile and lightweight. It works for a casual day date, brunch, shower, swim coverup, or for simply lounging around the house. You can layer over it with a chunky cardigan, oversized denim jacket, or suede jacket… and sandals or sneakers would be great options. It runs true to size.
(Shorts (size down) | Top | Sandals | Bag)
A basic white button down is such a perfect spring and summer closet staple. You can front knot this one too for a different look. It’s also great paired with jeans or a linen pant.
(Sweatshirt | Shorts (size down) | Bag)
I always talk about having 90% of my wardrobe consist of neutral items that can effortlessly mix and match with other pieces… and leaving the remaining 10% for “fun” pieces. Well this sweatshirt falls into the 10%… it’s brighter than I typically opt for, but it’s slightly oversized, incredibly comfortable, and I’ve actually already found 5ish other ways to wear it (featured it with ribbed ivory biker shorts in yesterday’s post)…. you can also wear it with denim shorts, white denim, jeans, as a coverup top, with joggers…..
(See above for details on this top)
(Shorts | Pullover | Sandals | Bag (Shannon10 for 10% off)
So if the tie dye sweatshirt isn’t really what you’re going for, then this hooded raw hem pullover is an excellent cozy option. It works for off duty (with biker shorts or leggings), but can also be worn for a casual daytime look with cut-offs and some sandals or sneakers.
