Everyday Style || White Open Knit Sweater 7 Ways

Spring in Southern California seems to be quite fickle this year. Last year, we were in the middle of constant rain storms… this year, we’re heading into a high 80’s heat wave… with the next week up in the air. That being said, it’s looking as if lightweight layers are key for this Spring season for us….

And as I start to look ahead to March’s Spring capsule wardrobe (coming next week) I’m starting to pick + choose items that will easily transition from rainy + cool spring days, to warm + sunny ones as well. Pieces that can be dressed up + down, and worn in + out of the workplace. Classic items that seamlessly fit into my existing wardrobe.

For that, Everlane is always a sure bet with their classic silhouettes + neutral tones that can easily be mixed + matched with one another. I teamed up with them today to bring style 4 new items from their spring line to give you eight different looks. I simply mixed these items into my existing wardrobe. Here’s a breakdown of the new items.

Court Sneakers: Their new sneakers are amazing. They literally feel as if you’re walking on clouds. I wore them last week to the park with Harper, Saturday out to lunch,  and then again for errands all day yesterday. No blisters, nothing uncomfortable… and a whole lot of cushion. I knoteed the laces + they also come in several different color options. If you’re looking for a great all day sneaker for spring I can’t recommend them more.

Mesh Sweater: I’ve been a lover of open knit sweaters for as long as I can remember. They work perfectly as a lightweight layer in spring… and they’re my favorite in the summer when I pair them with my favorite cut-offs…. or toss it over a bathing suit for those evenings at the beach with the family. This one fits great + comes in several color options. I wanted it to fit a little looser so I went up one size.

The Form Bag: Made of 100% Italian leather this bag is a wonderful everyday option…. I can easily fit my laptop, calendar, some snacks, a cosmetic bag, phone, wallet, and sunglasses case inside of it for when I work outside the home. And, when I’m with the girls I can fit in a pouch with Camille’s food, bottle, wipes, + diapers… along with a snack or two for Harper, my wallet, phone, and sunglasses. So it’s a great multifunctional bag for anyone looking for a great everyday option. I chose this beautiful nude color (desert sand to be exact) but there are other colors as well. I also really like the adjustable strap which makes it work as a shoulder or crossbody bag.

The ReNew Anorak: So, when it does rain again in Southern California, this is a beautiful, very lightweight water resistant option. It’s made of 100% recycled polyester, has a great hood option, zips up + also has snap closures as well. It would be an easy option for a walk… or a commute to + from the office. It’s a stylish water resistant option for sure.

I mixed all the items with this slip dress (I’ve had the pink version for two years) which can easily be worn with slides in the summer months for a beautiful date night option…. black jeans, which I wear all the time (such a great fit), high waisted leggings (such great material… high waisted + fit so well), and my oversized trench coat (which was included in my February capsule wardrobe).

So, if you’re looking to add any of the above items to your wardrobe, I can’t recommend these pieces more.
