A few weeks ago, in a slightly delusional state, I bought a heavy faux fur bomber jacket. I envisioned all the cute ways to wear it in the cold fall temperatures. Then I looked at my iPhone weather app + quickly realized that I was in a very deep state of wishful thinking…. with the next 7 days of weather in the low 80’s and then dropping ever so slightly to the mid 70’s by the end of the 14 day forecast. Soooo, in that vein I needed to switch gears a little, to something more fall friendly for these not so fall temps….
Enter lightweight cardigans (not for mid-day, more for the morning + evenings), leather + suede jackets, + this cute oversized plaid blazer for something a little different. When TJ + I were heading out for our happy hour date last weekend, I almost wore it paired with this cute ruffled crop top… yet opted for something slightly more casual. All that to say, there are so many easy ways to wear a plaid blazer this fall/winter season. I love it with a graphic tee (love Anine Bing graphic tees) + distressed black jeans (seen here), but also think it works paired with black faux leather leggings, an oversized black sweatshirt, and some sneakers. It’s a super easy way to make an otherwise basic outfit look super chic + pulled together…
So while I know the grass is always greener on the other side… if you live in a cooler climate, enjoy it a little bit for me today… and I’ll enjoy the warm temps for you today. Deal??
